What counts as a request
- One successful call to a calculation endpoint is one request, whatever the endpoint: a full chart costs the same as a short one.
- A tool call through the MCP server is one request too.
- A request rejected as invalid (400) costs nothing, a failure on our side (5xx) is given back, and
GET /v1/usageis free. - The pool belongs to the account, across all its keys, and refills at 00:00 UTC.
- Every response carries
X-RateLimit-Limit,X-RateLimit-RemainingandX-RateLimit-Reset, so a client can pace itself.
At the limit
When the day's pool is spent, the API answers 429 with the time it refills and, on the free plan, a link to API Pro. There are no overage charges: a request past the limit is refused, never billed. API Pro takes effect as soon as the payment goes through.
Billing
- API Pro is billed monthly through Stripe at $6.99; Stripe may show the amount in your local currency.
- Cancel any time on the Billing screen of the developer dashboard; the plan runs to the end of the month already paid.
- Commercial use is allowed on both plans.
- API Pro is a separate subscription from the NatalChart.AI app plans: neither includes the other, and their pools are separate.
Compared with other astrology APIs

Is there a free astrology API?
Yes. A free key gives 10 requests a day with no card: natal charts in full or in parts, fixed stars, the daily horoscope with transits to a chart, and the sky for any date.
Do you charge for requests over the limit?
No. Past the daily limit the API answers 429 and refills at 00:00 UTC. There are no overage charges on either plan.
Is there a yearly API plan?
No. API Pro is monthly, $6.99 a month, and can be cancelled at any time.
