Why this chart is different from generic horoscopes
Most free online charts run on simplified or outdated tables. Most AI horoscopes never see the chart at all — they generate text from your sun sign and hope it fits. NatalChart.AI does both right:

How it works
- You enter your date, time and place of birth. City search resolves the location to coordinates.
- We resolve the timezone using the IANA Time Zone Database, including historical DST and offset changes.
- Swiss Ephemeris computes every body’s longitude, every house cusp, every aspect with its orb.
- The AI explains only the placements that actually appear in your chart — no inventions.
What if I don’t know my birth time?
You can still get a meaningful chart. Planetary aspects and sphere scores are usually robust even with imprecise birth time. The Ascendant, Midheaven and house cusps are time-sensitive and will be flagged as such in the reading. See Unknown Birth Time Natal Chart for the full picture.
What happens after the free chart
Free includes the chart and a starter AI reading. If you want to ask follow-up questions, dive deeper into specific spheres, run synastry against another person’s chart, or look at transits and Solar Returns, you can upgrade. There’s no time pressure — the free chart stays in your account.
Frequently asked questions
Is the natal chart really free?
Yes — the chart calculation, the visual wheel, and a starter AI reading are free. You only pay if you want unlimited follow-up questions, deeper sphere analyses, transits or synastry. There is no credit card required to get the chart.
What do I need to generate my chart?
Date of birth, birth time (as exact as you have it), and birthplace. NatalChart.AI resolves the city to coordinates, looks up the historical timezone in the IANA Time Zone Database, and converts to UTC before computing the chart with Swiss Ephemeris.
What if I don't know my exact birth time?
You can still generate a chart — NatalChart.AI uses noon as a fallback and clearly marks which factors depend on the exact time (Ascendant, Midheaven, house cusps). Planetary placements and aspects remain reliable even with imprecise time.
How accurate is the calculation?
Planet positions are accurate to arc-seconds — well below the orb threshold any astrologer would use. The Swiss Ephemeris is built on NASA JPL's DE431 ephemeris and is the same calculation layer used by astro.com and TimePassages.
Will I see invented placements?
No. Every placement, house cusp and aspect in your chart is computed from your birth data; the AI reading is constrained to only explain factors that actually appear in the calculation. See Chart-Locked AI Reading for how the constraint works.
Is my birth data stored?
Your chart is saved to your account so you can come back to it. You can delete it at any time from settings. We never share birth data with third parties.
